This Privacy Policy explains how Lanspo (“Lanspo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the Lanspo mobile application and related public websites.
Operator: Erdinc Ciftci, based in Germany. Contact: bunesimdicom@gmail.com.
1. Who operates Lanspo
Lanspo is operated by Erdinc Ciftci, an individual operator based in Germany. Bundle ID: com.lanspo.app.
2. Information collected
Lanspo collects information needed to provide learning features, authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, generate eligible audio, respond to support requests and keep the service reliable. We do not claim zero data collection.
3. Anonymous and guest accounts
You may be able to use Lanspo with an anonymous or guest experience. Guest usage may still create a technical account identifier and store learning progress on our systems so the app can function. Guest data may be limited or harder to restore if you change devices without signing in.
4. Account information
When you create or upgrade to a signed-in account, we may process account identifiers, authentication-related metadata and settings associated with your profile.
5. Sign in with Apple
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and may provide us with an Apple user identifier and, depending on your Apple settings, a name and email address (or a private relay address). We use this information to create and maintain your Lanspo account.
6. Apple private relay email
If you hide your email with Apple, we may receive an Apple private relay address instead of your personal email. Messages we send to that address are routed through Apple’s relay service according to Apple’s terms.
7. Learning data
To provide the learning experience, we may process:
- Article reading progress
- Notes you create
- Flashcards and saved phrases
- Practice history
- XP and streak information
- Study-pack membership and related access state
Your notes and other user-created study materials are treated as private to your account, subject to the limited service-provider access described below.
8. Subscription status
If you purchase or subscribe to paid features, we process subscription and entitlement status needed to unlock Pro or other paid functionality. Purchases themselves are processed by Apple.
9. RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and entitlements across the app. RevenueCat may process purchase tokens, product identifiers, app user identifiers and related subscription events as a service provider acting on our behalf.
10. Supabase
We use Supabase as a backend service provider for authentication, database storage and related application data needed to operate Lanspo. Learning data, account records and related content may be stored in Supabase-hosted infrastructure.
11. Google Cloud Text-to-Speech
For eligible Pro audio features, Spanish text may be sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to generate spoken audio. The text submitted for synthesis is processed by Google as a service provider for that purpose.
12. Generated audio
Generated audio may be stored so it can be replayed later. Important distinction:
- Private user notes remain associated with your account and are not treated as shared public content.
- Shared canonical generated audio may be reused for identical Spanish text so the same audio asset can serve multiple users. Reuse is based on the text content, not on exposing which user originally requested the generation.
Removing one account does not necessarily delete shared canonical audio assets that other users may still need.
13. Service logs and diagnostics
We may process technical logs and diagnostics such as app events, error reports, device/OS type, timestamps and similar operational data to maintain security, diagnose failures and improve reliability. We do not claim specific encryption or retention periods beyond what is described here and in our operational practices.
14. Support emails
If you email us, we process the content of your message, your email address and any details you choose to include so we can respond. Please do not include passwords, tokens or sensitive note content.
15. Data processing purposes
We process personal data to:
- Provide and operate the app and learning features
- Authenticate users and maintain accounts
- Store progress, notes, flashcards and practice history
- Manage subscriptions and entitlements
- Generate and deliver eligible audio
- Provide customer support
- Secure, troubleshoot and improve the service
- Comply with legal obligations
16. Legal bases (Germany / GDPR context)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract — to provide the service you request
- Legitimate interests — such as securing the service, preventing abuse, understanding reliability issues and improving core features, balanced against your rights
- Consent — where required for a specific optional processing activity
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law
17. Data sharing and service providers
We share personal data with service providers only as needed to operate Lanspo, including providers such as Supabase, RevenueCat and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. We do not sell personal data. Lanspo currently has no advertising SDK, and advertisers do not receive user data through advertising tooling in the app.
18. International processing
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. We do not claim that data never leaves the EU. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms offered by our providers (such as standard contractual clauses) or other lawful transfer grounds.
19. Data retention
We retain account and learning data while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service. After account deletion or inactivity, we delete or anonymize user-owned data according to our deletion process, except where retention is required for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance or where data exists only as shared canonical audio assets not tied to a single user. Exact retention windows may vary by system and are not represented here as fixed guarantees.
20. Account deletion
You can initiate account deletion in the app via Profile → Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. User-owned account and learning data will be deleted or anonymized according to this policy. Shared canonical audio assets are not deleted solely because one account is removed. Active App Store subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple. If you cannot access the app, email bunesimdicom@gmail.com. See also our Account deletion page.
21. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including GDPR where it applies), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in Germany or your place of residence. To exercise rights, contact bunesimdicom@gmail.com.
22. Children
Lanspo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
23. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the service to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim absolute security or undocumented encryption guarantees.
24. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Lanspo after an update means you should review the revised policy.
